The University of Mary volleyball team defeated Valley City in their home opener on Sept. 5 at the McDowell Activity Center.
The Marauders fell 27-25 in the first set before taking the next three to win, 3-1.
The win puts UMary above .500 five games into the season.
This weekend, the Marauders travel to Houghton, Mich. to play four matches in three days in the Keweenaw Classic 2017.
UMary’s record is 3-2.
