In college basketball, one of the top prospects in the state will again stay at home and will attend BSC. This time, it is Shiloh Christian senior Macauley Young.
Young was a pivotal member on a Skyhawks team that made it all the way to the Class B Boys state championship game. This season, Young averaged 17 points and 14 rebounds. He also threw down a couple of monster dunks.
“I really liked it,” Young said. “My uncle is actually a chemistry teacher here. I just know a lot of people here. I really like the community. It means the world to me. It’s been a lot of hard work put into this. Just means a lot to me to know that I can keep doing what I want to do.”
I asked Macauley Young what the coaches told him to expect when he gets on campus and he said, “A lot of running.”
