College Football: U-Mary ‘accomplished their goals’ as spring ball ends

National Sports

Today was the last scheduled practice of the spring for the University of Mary football team.

This is head coach Craig Bagnell’s second spring with the team. Last year, he focused on installing his offensive and defensive systems with an entirely new squad. This year, most of the players already understand the system.

Coach said he could not single out one group that has performed really well because the entire program has grown so much during practice.

“Before spring ball, we had set aside certain goals that we wanted to improve on,” Bagnell said. “Certain situations to get better in — not just only overall or the whole grand scheme — but just focusing on little details,” Bagnell said. “We’ve been able to do that.”

The spring game is April 13 at the Community Bowl at 6:30 p.m.
