College Football: U-Mary holds first spring practice under new head coach

The University of Mary football team held their first spring practice under new head coach Craig Bagnell on Mar. 15 at Shiloh Christian School.

Coach Bagnell said he has 63 guys on the field right now, so they are limited in what they can do in some areas.

The first-year head coach is in no rush to implement his entire playbook because he has six months until his first game.

“We script out the first six [plays],” Bagnell said. “If they guys get it then we are going to move on. If we don’t then we are going to pump the brakes a little bit. We want to make sure they have the base down before move on to summer ball.”

U-Mary will hold their spring game on April 14 at the Community Bowl.
