The University of Mary and the Minot State University women’s soccer teams won separate matches on Oct. 21, while the U-Mary men lost.
U-Mary scored twice in the first half to take a 2-0 halftime lead over Upper Iowa. They would not need anymore goals as they won their fourth straight match, 2-0. The win vaults the Marauders into seventh place in the Northern Sun standings.
On the men’s side, U-Mary was blanked at home against Fort Hays State. The men gave up three goals in the first half and four goals in the second. The final score was 7-0.
In Minot, the women’s team defeated Winona State, 2-0.
