College Softball: U-Mary sweeps Bemidji State, now 10th place in conference standings

In college softball, U-Mary earned a big sweep over Bemidji State as they try to qualify for the Northern Sun Conference Tournament.

In the first game, U-Mary used an eight-run, fifth inning to gain control of the game. U-Mary won, 9-1.

In the second game, the Marauders trailed 4-0 after an inning in a half. However, in the bottom of the second, U-Mary plated 5 runs to take a 5-4. Then they scored another eight runs in the sixth. U-Mary won Game 2, 13-5.

U-Mary is currently 10th in the conference standings.

The top 10 teams in the standings earn a bid to the Northern Sun Conference Tournament on May 2-4 at the RYFSA Complex in Rochester, Minn.
