Curl happy to return home after playing with Team USA

National Sports

Britta Curl is skating on a familiar sheet of ice after spending almost a month representing the United States on the Under-18 Women’s National Hockey team.

Britta helped the Red, White and Blue take home the gold medal at the World Championships.

Britta performed well during the five games. She earned player of the game honors when Team USA faced Russia in the prelims.

Britta said she loved the experience, but is happy to be back with her teammates.

“Going over their playing high level hockey it was good for me to get better,” Curl said, “but I was excited to get back here and play with these guys. I’m glad to be back. We played a game last night and it was a lot of fun to be back in the swing of things here.”

This was Britta’s first time on the national team. The Blizzard return to the ice Friday at Jamestown.
