Dickinson State softball back from 7-4 Tucson trip

Dickinson State softball is back from a week-long trip down in Tucson, Arizona.

Some rain in Tucson did cancel several of their games, but the Blue Hawks still played 11 games in eight days, going 7-4.

DSU went up against a few nationally ranked opponents, including a 1-0 loss to 21st ranked Midland Lutheran.

Head Coach Kristin Fleury says the team is taking shape, but there’s more work to be done.

“We’ve been so back and forth,” Fleury said. “One day our offense will be on and our defense not so much, and then vice versa. I just think it’s putting it all together. We’ve talked about we’ve just got to click on all cylinders.”

The Blue Hawks have postponed a doubleheader at Morningside which was scheduled for Friday. Their next game is at Waldorf Saturday.
