In Class B girls basketball, Bowman County is ready for big things in the 2018-2019 season.
Last year the Bulldogs improved across the board in offensive categories, especially in shooting percentage.
Senior Maury Burke says the group’s steady improvement over the years is thanks to Head Coach Jaden Schoch.
“Over the years he’s simplified the way we wanted to shoot,” Burke said. “He basically just says if you’re open and you think it’s a good shot, just shoot. Don’t think about it. He just wants to make sure we’re comfortable and shoot whenever we want to.”
Bowman County advanced to the championship game in last week’s Roughrider Tournament in Killdeer where they lost to Hettinger-Scranton. The 3-1 Bulldogs will play at New England on Friday.
