In girls high school hockey, Mandan is scratching and clawing to keep their streak of making the postseason alive.
Currently, the Braves are in 10th place in the North Dakota League standings. Mandan is six points out of eighth place, which is where they need to be in order to make the state tournament.
The girls said recently they hope to masters the fundamentals of the game, as they try to break a four-game losing streak.
“One thing [Coach Hoard] tells us to try to obtain is confidence,” senior forward Katarina Krush said. “Try to be able to handle the puck without being nervous.”
Mandan’s next time on the ice is Tuesday at Dickinson.
