In girls track and field, with one outdoor meet under their belt, Bismarck High is making a case to be the new favorite in the WDA.
At the BPS Triangular meet on April 5, Bismarck really cleaned up in the running events, as the Demons took home first place in five of the 11 track events. In the 1600 meter run, Bismarck placed the top four girls in the 1600m run racking 29 of their 219.5 points.
We still have a lot of time left in the outdoor season, but Bismarck is off to a fantastic start.
“Good if we can get them to perform at the level they are capable of,” head coach Tim Kolsrud said. “We’ve got a couple of distance runners that are back and should have a fairly solid relay there.”
The Demons will be at the Bowl on Thursday for the Karlgaad Invite at 12:30 p.m.
