In girl’s high school track and field, Fargo Davies is the favorite to win three straight state titles but the Century Patriots are not ready to hand over championship.
The Patriots are working hard to dethrone the defending champs, but on April 28 Century and Fargo Davies were at the Charlie Denton Relays and both teams finished in the top two.
However, Davies scored 234.5 to Century’s 111, but the Pats just want to keep improving as they approach the state meet.
“We are competitive for that first place finish at state this year,” head coach Courtney Ollerich said. “That’s our ultimate goal. Just staying healthy throughout the course of this season is going to be key.”
The Patriots are back on the track Saturday at the Starion Sports Complex.
