Girls HS Track: Bismarck keeping an eye on Fargo Davies

National Sports

The Bismarck girls’ track and field team finished second at the Class A state meet last season and they return a lot of state qualifiers from last year.

The defending West Region champs will be keeping an eye on Fargo Davies this year, as Davies walked away with the state title last year.

While Tom Kolsrud will look to the upper classmen to lead the way, the upper classmen say there are a lot of younger athletes who will need to up their game to the varsity level.

“We have a lot of new people,” Michaela Dora said, “like freshmen coming up, so it’s definitely going to be a lot of responsibility on them to kind of step up from middle school and try to take first.”

Bismarck High is looking for their first girls’ state title since 2010.
