The Minot High football team will head west on Friday when they travel to Williston to take on the Coyotes. The Magicians are looking to bounce back from last Friday’s 35-14 loss to Bismarck while Alex Mock’s Coyotes will be looking to build on the team’s first win of the season last week in a 13-0 shutout of Grand Forks. The game will be the west region opener for the Coyotes and along with playing in a new stadium, the Coyotes may be starting to turn the corner and the Magicians know that they’ll have to come ready to play.

Layne Rouse, Senior:Well Williston you know they look like a brand new team, they’re coming out really aggressive coming out really fast you know playing just a straight up defense straight up offense and they just want to hit you in the mouth and we’re prepared for that.

Hunter Swartwout, Senior:Right now we’re 0-1 so that means we’re last in the conference and I want to get back on top or close to it.>>

Kickoff Friday night in Williston will be at 8 p.m.
