Beulah baseball used a walk-off hit to win game one of a doubleheader with Carrington on Monday.
Down 1-0 in the final frame, Derek Ferebee led off and legged out a shallow grounder for an infield single. Ferebee then stole second base on a pitch in the dirt.
With Ferebee in scoring position, Korey Rueb sent a fastball down the left field line for a hit. Ferebee raced around third and evaded the tag at home plate to tie the game at one, with Rueb ending up on second for an RBI double.
After Carrington struck out the next batter, Beulah’s Brayden Moore connected on a fastball and sent it to left center, allowing Rueb to score the winning run and end the game 2-1.
The Miners later completed the sweep in game two with a 6-4 win.
