HS Baseball: Century sweeps, St. Mary’s splits with Watford City

The Century baseball team earned a sweep, while in a separate game St. Mary’s picked up their first win of the season on April 26.

At the Sanford Sports Complex, Century took two games from Bismarck High. In the first game, Century put up three runs early and held on for a 3-0 win. In the second game, Matt Miller singled to right in the bottom of the fifth inning to give the Pats a 2-1 lead. The Pats held for the victory by that score.

Over at Municipal Ballpark, St. Mary’s won their first game of the season. The Saints defeated Watford City, 2-1. However, they were unable to complete the sweep in the second game. Watford City won game two, 5-3.
