HS Baseball: Huntington tosses 1-hitter; Bismarck, Minot pull off sweeps


In high school baseball, Shiloh Christian’s Shea Huntington tossed a 1-hitter against Watford City. In Class A action, Bismarck High and Minot earned sweeps.

In Class B, Shiloh Christian swept Watford City. In the first game, the Skyhawks came back from an early 1-0 deficit to win Game 1, 3-2. In the second game, Huntington tossed four innings and a third innings of no-hit baseball. He gave up a hit with one out in the fifth inning. Shiloh won the game, 3-0.

In Class A, Bismarck and St. Mary’s met for a doubleheader. In the first game, Bismarck came back from a 3-0 deficit to win, 11-4. In the second game, the Demons jumped out to a 3-0 and went on to win 13-1 to complete the sweep.

Over in Mandan, the Braves faced Minot. Mandan was up 2-0 early in the contest, but the Magicians came back for 13-3 victory. In the second game, Minot won again, 6-1.
