National Sports

Legacy is playing it’s best ball in program history and they have a real shot to grab one of the four spots in the state tournament.

The Sabers are 6-2 in their last eight WDA counter games and currently sit fourth in the standings.

The two losses were both by one run. Legacy lost 2-1 against Mandan and then 7-6 loss to Jamestown in 11 innings.

“It’s definitely been a step up,”  freshman shortstop Benjamin Patton said. “We can compete with a lot more teams that we could in the past. It’s interesting and it’s really fun.”

On May 10, Legacy hits road for a date with Williston.
