HS Boys Soccer: Century only allowed four goals headed into State

National Sports

This will be the third straight year Century will be the West’s No. 1 seed.

However, being No. 1 has not served to Century’s advantage. Last year, they were upset in the first round of the playoffs.

This year might be different. Century comes into the state tournament only allowing four goals all season.

“Good team composure and good organization through the back line,” Justin Weigel said. Our keeper is good at talking to the whole team. As a team we communicate really well and stay organized the whole game.”

“It’s nice,” senior midfielder Logan Brown said, “but it’s not something we think about. We just kind of go game-to-game. It’s been a byproduct of the hard work on the defensive side. We are going to try to keep that going.”

On Thursday, Century takes on Fargo South in the first round at 4:30 p.m.
