HS FBall: Bowman County seniors proud of program turnaround

National Sports

Bowman County football played its first-ever home playoff game just like any other game this season, and it led to another dominant result.

The Bulldogs beat the Nedrose Cardinals 55-8 to continue their perfect season and advance to the next round.

This season has been a long time coming for this senior class. When they were freshman, the Bulldogs won just one game. Now they’re just a couple wins away from the Dakota Bowl, and the guys are proud to have helped the program turn a corner.

“My class has been there for all of it,” senior wide receiver Corban Massey said. “We always joke about how it used to be, and we’re just glad we’re changing it around. Hopefully it’ll stay that way.”

The Bulldogs will now go up against a Velva defense that recorded six interceptions in their first round win over Hazen. Kickoff is 1 p.m. mountain this Saturday.
