HS FBall: Dickinson Trinity adjusting to new offense

National Sports

The Dickinson Trinity football team is still adjusting to Class A football.

Moving down a classification in football is supposed to give you an advantage, but so far for Dickinson Trinity, it’s hard to tell whether or not that’s true.

In the Titans first game, they couldn’t find any offense against rival Bowman.

Then they completely flipped the script last Friday in a 35-0 win against Hazen.

Head Coach John Odermann says it’s going to take some time for this year’s roster to play more consistently
because there are some new things for them to learn this season.

“Making sure that they’re learning the ins and outs of the offense and defense,” Odermann said, “because we are running some different things on the offensive side of the ball that we haven’t seen–that they haven’t seen in the past.”

Trinity will try to make it two wins in a row this Friday at home against Heart River.
