Dickinson Trinity seeks a berth in the Dakota Bowl with a win over Hillsboro-Central Valley in the Class A semifinals.
Trinity has soared through the playoffs on offense and defense.
The Titans have scored 87 points, while only surrendering six.
This week is their toughest test versus Hillsboro-Central Valley.
This is unfamiliar territory for the Titans. Trinity has not advanced this far in playoffs in a while and the Titans might have to rely on their defensive backs, which would be a new challenge.
“We’re confident in our secondary and what they can do,” head coach John Odermann said, “but they haven’t had to step up and win a game for us defensively. And that’s something that we are really excited for that challenge.”
Dickinson Trinity will be on the road for the first time in the playoffs. The game starts at 2 p.m.
