Beulah football was the master of the blowout in 2017 and it led them to a co-Region 4 title. But this season, the Miners are looking to chisel the “co” off the trophy.
On paper, another dominant season might be difficult to do, because 1,000-yard rusher Mikey Morris and the rest of last season’s backfield is gone.
Senior Kaleb McGraw got to learn from Morris and saw a little bit of time at running back himself, so he’s poised to continue Beulah’s tradition of a successful running game.
“I know what I’m doing now,” McGraw said. “I remember last year in the beginning of the year I was kind of iffy on my position, what I was doing. But now I feel like after those reps, I’m good now.”
The Miners opened their season with a 26-6 win over Stanley.
