HS Football: Bismarck steamrolls defending Class AAA state champs

National Sports

Bismarck High defeated the defending Class AAA State Champions West Fargo, 48-8 at the MDU Resources Community Bowl on Aug. 30.

Bismarck allowed West Fargo to march down the field on their opening possession for a touchdown. West Fargo converted a two-point conversion and led 8-0.

The Demons turned the ball over on the first play of their opening drive. However, Bismarck recovered the ball on the following play to regain possession. That was the turning point of the contest. Bismarck reeled off the next 48 points.

Bismarck won the game, 48-8.
