The Linton HMB Lions are anxious to start the 2018 season after a disappointing loss in the first round of the 9-Man playoff last fall.
The Lions return several players that earned recognition at the region or state level. Early on in the season, Linton wants to establish the run to open up the passing game for second-team all-state quarterback Cole Baumiller.
Overall, Linton is excited about what this year could hold.
“We have quiet a few players returning at skill player,” Parker Gerving said. “We played good as a team last year, so I hope we can do the same this year. I hope that our younger guys can play hard with us. It could be a tough season, so I hope that we can get through the season healthy.”
I kind of want to play Napoleon again,” Bowdy Rommick said, “since they were the only team that we lost to last year. I kind of just want to pass the first round of the playoffs. We haven’t been able to get past there for a couple of years.”
