There is a buzz in the Napoleon-Gackle-Streeter area and it comes from the anticipation of what could be for the football team in those towns.
Napoleon-Gackle-Streeter feels like they had a strong chance to make it to the Fargodome last season, if their starting quarterback Jamison Fettig had not gotten injured in the third quarter against Cavalier.
The good news is that Jamison was only a junior last year and he’s ready to return to avenge the quarterfinals loss.
“Especially with those three seniors we had been playing with since we were in fifth grade,” Fettig said. “To lose that one where we were, when we were up when I got hurt, it was tough to take in. Now we got another year. We have to try to come out on top.”
Napoleon opens this season Friday at Finley-Sharon-Hope-Page.
