HS Girls Basketball: Century working out kinks in up-tempo play

National Sports

Even undefeated teams have areas on which to improve.

Such is the case for top-ranked Century girls basketball, according to head coach Ron Metz.

With a roster that’s fairly young, Metz said that inexperience can lead to mistakes on the court that will need to be ironed out as the season progresses.

“Our up-tempo is kind of causing us some problems with some turnovers and stuff right now,” Metz said. “But hopefully we work through those those things and get some of that, and then be able to put a lot of pressure on defensively.”

The Patriots play Wednesday afternoon at Belcourt.
