HS Girls Golf: Bismarck High close to qualifying for State Tournament

National Sports

The Bismarck High girls golf team is on the doorstep of making the State Tournament for the first time in three seasons.

The Demons highest finish this season was sixth at the Bismarck High Invite.

Overall, Bismarck usually finishes around seventh in WDA Competition, which means they are one spot away from achieving their goal of making the state tournament.

“We’ve done pretty well in all our tournaments,” Bismarck High’s No. 1 rated player Grace Stroh said. “We’ve taken seventh in most of them. The top six go to state. So we are almost there, I think we can do it.”

The girls registered another seventh place yesterday at the Legacy Invite. The next tim the girls hit the links is the Mandan Invite on Sept. 18.
