HS Soccer: Bismarck, Century, St. Mary’s pickup WDA wins

National Sports

The high school soccer programs of Bismarck, Century and St. Mary’s picked up WDA wins on Sept. 21.

Bismarck got revenge on Minot with a 2-1 win. The Magicians handed the Demons their only loss on the season earlier in the year. Because Bismarck won, Minot and the Demons are tied atop the WDA with 22 points.

Just one point behind Bismarck and Minot are the Century Patriots. Century defeated Mandan 3-0 at Dacotah Centennial Park. The Patriots earned an early goal and never looked back.

St. Mary’s fought off Legacy for a 2-1 triumph at the Sanford Sports Complex. The Saints led 1-0 at halftime, but Legacy responded with a goal in the second period. However, the Sabers could not hold off St. Mary’s as they added a goal late to earn the victory.
