HS Tennis: Century, Legacy, Jamestown notch wins

The high school tennis programs of Legacy, Century and Jamestown earned wins on Sept. 4.

Legacy traveled to Minot to take on the Magicians. Legacy’s No. 1 rated player Michael Janes started off the match strong for the Sabers. Legacy was able to pick up a close win, 4-3.

In Mandan, Century and the Bravoes met in a battle of two teams with aspirations of winning the West Region title. The Patriots were able to pick up the win, 7-2.

In Bismarck, the Demons hosted Jamestown. In the No. 1 doubles match, Bismarck had a chance to pick up the win. Bismarck led the first set five games to four, but they were unable to hold to the lead in that match. Overall, Jamestown defeated Bismarck, 8-1.
