HS Tennis: Legacy ready for West Region Tournament

National Sports

It’s been a productive season for Legacy tennis so far, as the Sabers finished near the top of the WDA.

Legacy came close to a first place finish, since they and Minot had the same conference record.
But because Minot beat them head-to-head, Minot earned the tiebreak to take the top seed.
The two teams could face off for the Region title, and the players say they can learn from that earlier loss should a rematch opportunity come around.

“We went out there and we put it all on the line in that match,” senior Bradley Moylan recalled. “We learned from maybe some mistakes we had, but [Minot] played really good tennis, and [we can] just learn from that and figure out what we have to do next time.”

The West Region Tournament begins Thursday at 10 a.m. Seeds and match-ups are below:

No. 2 Legacy vs No. 7 Bismarck High
No. 3 Century vs No. 6 Mandan
No. 4 Jamestown vs No. 5 Williston
No. 1 Minot with bye in first round
