HS Tennis: Legacy West’s No. 1 seed for fourth straight year

National Sports

For the fourth straight year, the Legacy Sabers are the No. 1 seed from the West headed into the state tournament.

Legacy won the West in impressive fashion. The Sabers shutout Century, 5-0, then defeated Minot, 4-1.

On the individual side, Legacy qualified six players for State between singles and doubles.

“Mainly for the team,” Jay Moylan said. “I just hope to really help the team get to our goals together as we try to do as best we can, and try to make it as far as we can together.”

Legacy will play West Fargo Sheyenne in the third match out on Thursday.

The boys tennis state tournament is in Grand Forks.
