The Bismarck High volleyball team has eight seniors and for that core group, they have gone through three coaches in four years. But even with all the changes, the Demons still manage to keep winning.
For the eight seniors on the Bismarck High volleyball team, there’s no surprise the Demons are in the state tournament.
Despite cycling through three coaches in four years, the seniors just adjust and try to learn as much as possible.
This year, the new coach was Josette Timian, who keeps the team on their toes by switching up positions and rotations.
The result was a Bismarck High team that finished 24-16 overall and 10-8 in the WDA, but the bond between the seniors is what keeps them playing hard.
These girls know each other well. they were together during last year’s state championship loss. This year, Bismarck wants to return to the title match, but hopes for a different result.
Bismarck plays Valley City in the first round of the Class A State Tournament at 7 p.m.
