HS Volleyball: Dickinson gaining confidence after hosting successful tournament

National Sports

The Dickinson High volleyball team entered their own tournament last weekend with a record of 3-11. The Midgets left with a mark of 9-12.

The results were encouraging for a team with just two seniors and five juniors.

Head Coach Jay Schobinger says the young players on his team have really risen to the challenge that is varsity ball.

“We’ve had to fill in with some sophomores and some freshmen this year,” Schobinger said. “There have been some kids that have been pushed in some situations they’re not quite ready for, but that’s the reality of it. And they’ve been doing a nice job.”

Dickinson plays at Williston tonight at 7:15 p.m.
