HS Wrestling: Bismarck High confident despite tough competition

The Bismarck High Wrestling team is the favorite to win the state team and dual title this year, but the Demons know this year will be tough.

Bismarck High co-head coach said Jeff Schumacher said they are just worried about the West Region.

He listed Minot, Century, Mandan and Dickinson as school with excellent programs and teams that have wrestlers ranked in the coach’s poll, but he still thinks his guys are the favorites.

“Right in the WDA,” Bismarck High co-head coach Jeff Schumacher said, “This side of the state is so much further ahead than the east side. The competition is out there. We just have to make sure we take of business.”

Bismarck High’s next time on the mat is at the Rumble on the Red which runs Dec. 28 through Dec. 30 in Fargo.
