HS Wrestling: Bismarck High looks toward WDA tournament after capturing regular season crown

In high school wrestling, Bismarck High locked up their 34th WDA title last Friday night when they went on the road and defeated No. 2 Dickinson.

The championship did not come easy. The score was 37-30 and Bismarck High had to hold on with a victory in the last match.

The Demons will be the top seed for the West for next week’s Class A State tournament in Fargo.

The end of the season is right around the corner and the guys are pushing towards another state title.

“It’s a long season,” senior Chase Dockter said. “Seeing the guys still coming in and outside of practice and putting in the time and work. It’s just really impressive.”

This weekend, Bismarck will be at the WDA tournament hosted by Turtle Mountain.
