HS Wrestling: Century hopes to win first team dual title since 2001

In Class A wrestling, Century looks to win their first Individual state championship since 2001 and their first ever team dual state title.

On the team dual side, Century earned the No. 3 seed for the West. On the season, their record is 19-9. 

On the individual side, Century will send 12 wrestlers to state, including Clay Radenz, who is ranked No. 1 for the 126 division.

Coach Jerald Lemar said he likes his team.

“We can go into that state tournament and we can upset a lot of kids,” head coach Jerald Lemar said. “which will then in turn upset a lot of teams, which will ultimately get us to the top where we want to be: Standing on the podium at the end of the tournament.”

Tomorrow, Century faces Valley City in the quarterfinals at 11 a.m. The individual tournament starts Friday.
