National Sports

The Mandan Braves had a good weekend at the Bismarck Rotary.

Mandan finished ninth overall, but if you look closer, the Braves were the third highest finisher for Class A schools.

Mandan’s top finishers included Jacob Boehm, who the 220-pound weight class.

Mandan also had a couple of third place finishers. Will Kleinknecht at 145 and Kolten Reisenauer at 160.

“We’re a really active team from neutral,” Boehm said. “I think we do best neutral wrestling. We’re good at take downs. We’re pretty physical out there. We’re always hand figthing. Keep everyone working. I think that we have to keep getting better from neutral.”

This Thursday, Mandan travels to Williston for a team dual at 6 p.m.
