The St. Mary’s Wrestling team only has seven members, but they are a scrappy and competitive bunch.
The Saints’ perseverance paid off in their win against Legacy.
The club still struggles with having enough guys to compete in every weight class, but the improvement from the start of the year until now has been tremendous, according to head coach Jayden Richter.
The coach also says the growth all started with their attitudes.
“We are wrestling as a team,” Richter said. “Our attitudes are great. We’re working really, really hard. We’re staying focused. We’re driven and against Legacy we just kind of fed off of one another.”
