The Bis-Man Rattlers varsity lacrosse team is hoping to end its season on a high note in the Dakota Premier Lacrosse League Championships in Sioux Falls, S.D.
This is the first year the Rattlers will have a varsity team competing in the tournament. While the Rattlers are going up against teams that have been in existence for a longer amount of time, upperclassmen like Josh Betz say the team is excited to show what they’re made of on the field.
Betz also said that he sees the potential for more North Dakota teams to eventually join the Premier Lacrosse League.
“We’ve been expanding at a pretty good rate, and I know other towns are starting to pick it up, too,” Betz said. “I think in the next couple years we could definitely have a good league going.”
The team’s first tournament game is set to begin at 7 p.m.
