Larks Reyes, Montes reflect on all-star selections

National Sports

Several Bismarck Larks will be in attendance at 2018 Northwoods League All-Star Game in Kalamazoo, Michigan on July 24.

Five players as well as the entire Larks coaching staff earned the right to represent the North Division in the exhibition game.

“It feels great,” outfielder Cristian Montes said. “All the hard work I put into it. Like last year, not really succeeding at my school and getting here and working hard and just trying to prove myself. Trying to believe that I belong here and play.”

“Just enjoy the moment and enjoy my time there,” infielder Ripken Reyes said. “I enjoy playing against good competition and just try to play my best and try to learn from everyone and soak in as much as I can and play some ball.”

The Bismarck Larks will have another rest day after the game. Then, they hit the road for a two-game series with the Willmar Stingers.
