Legion Ball: Bismarck Governors look to surge up standings in final two weeks of regular season

National Sports

After winning seven of their last eight games, the Bismarck Governors are in fourth place in the Legion Class AA statewide Standings.

Bismarck is 4-3 in league play, which is two and a half games out of first place. The Governors still have time to climb up the standings, as they have nine counter games left.

The only hurdle that might be a concern is the team plays 15 games in the next 16 days.

“It kind of just comes with [playing with the Bismarck Governors] in general,” Jalen Ziegler said. “You have to be prepared preseason to know that you are are not going to be able to work on all your stuff. You have to be ready to change during the game. So you have to be very mentally strong.”

On July 11. the Governors have a doubleheader with Fargo Post 400 at Municipal Ballpark.
