On July 31, the Bismarck Reps left for the State tournament in Williston.
The Reps went into the southwest Regional tournament as the No. 3 seed, but were able to get past the Mandan A’s for a spot in this week’s state tournament.
The season did not start out as the players would have liked, but they’re happy with how they are finishing.
“We struggled in the beginning of the season,” pitcher Mason Leingang said, “but the coaches trained us hard throughout the season and kept us at it. I believe that we have improved a lot and we can compete at any level.”
The Bismarck Reps first game of the tournament is tomorrow against Kindred at 10 a.m.
