This summer, Canaan Fagerland was the only player from a Class B school to play on the Bismarck Governors.
During the school year, Canaan plays baseball for Shiloh Christian School, which competes in Class B.
This summer, he played his first season with the Governors, where he saw guys who played in Class A during the high school season.
Canaan said the level of competition was a big adjustment, but he was up for the task.
“I’ve been kind of use to that in the past with playing with the [Bismarck] Reps,” Fagerland said, “and being with the [Bismarck] Parks and Recs throughout my summers growing up. I’ve had to adjust to it every year. This has probable been the biggest step getting use to the faster pitching.”
Canaan will start his senior year of high school in August.
