Boys HS Basketball: ‘No exact timeframe’ for Feeney’s return

Local Sports

In boys high school basketball, Century will be without one of their returning guards for the foreseeable future.

Head coach Darin Mattern tells KX Sports that Cade Feeney suffered a wrist injury in the second half of the Class AAA state championship football game. As of this week, there’s no exact timeframe on the injury.

“His status right now is week-to-week,” head coach Darrin Mattern said. “Obviously, he’s chomping at the bit to get back, but he’ll be evaluated later this week, and they’ll give him a plan. We’re thinking long-term here.”

As a sophomore, Feeney put up almost nine points a game, and he led the team in three-pointers and steals.

The defending Class A state champs will begin the season this Saturday at home against Fargo Davies.
