A local hands-on science center added new exhibits to it’s gallery.
Gateway to Science received six new prototype exhibits developed by the Science Museum of Minnesota design team.
Kids will be able to enjoy a 21-foot race car track, new solar car and more.
The exhibits are in various stages of development and the science center is asking for feedback to make final changes.
“There is a lot of exhibits that we have on our floor that really encourage kids to test their problem solving skills and I think that is very important. If you want to raise a scientist or someone who is going to grow up and become an engineer or work in some stem field. Then you would want to give them every opportunity to practice those problem solving skills,” said Kim Eslinger, Gallery & Exhibits Director at Gateway to Science.
Gateway Science will get a new building across the street from the MDU Resources Community Bowl.
That will be open in the summer of 2020.
