The Bismarck High football team captured the program’s 10 state title on Nov. 9 in a game against Century at the Fargodome.

Bismarck High sprinted out to a 14-0 lead, but had to hold on late.

On the last play of the game, Century used a fancy play to try and get quarterback Cade Feeney free in the back of the end zone as a receiver. The pass feel incomplete.

Bismarck High rushed the field in celebration.

During the game, Bismarck suffered some key injuries to some key players.

“Yeah next man up mentality,” quarterback Will Madler said. “Our guys that came in, they made big plays. They stepped up and helped our team win this championship.

“Give our kids a lot of credit,” head coach Mark Gibson said. “They fought and they never gave up. We had some guys out. We had some guys dinged. We had Joe Jahner out. [Isaiah Olsen] was out. [Canyon Stonecipher] those are all big main cogs and our kids just kept fighting.”

Bismarck High won, 21-16.
