HS Volleyball: Mandan seeks another magical postseason run

Local Sports

In Class A volleyball, Mandan is the two seed out of the west for this week’s state tournament, and the Braves have high hopes of earning their first ever title.

The Braves earned two shutout wins in the WDA tournament to qualify for State, and even though they lost the final match to Century, every set was close.

Head Coach Folk says her veteran roster has what it takes to make a deep run at State.

“We’ve got great blockers at the net,” head coach Anna Folk said. “Our back row is phenomenal. Nothing really gets past them too much, and that transition this year. I think we did a good job this year of growing into a very offensive team, too.”

The Braves will take on Fargo Shanley at 7 p.m. Thursday night.
