HS Wrestling: Bismarck High expects dominance to continue

Local Sports

When we talk about dominance in the sport of high school wrestling, Bismarck High is at the top of the list.

The Demons have won 15 of last 19 dual state championships… and eight of the last 11 team state championships. This includes, the dual and team state championships Bismarck won last season.

Senior Ryan Ripplinger, who is going for his fourth consecutive individual state title, says Bismarck will win it again.

“Tradition and Bismarck High,” Ripplinger said. “I feel like we can do it again. We just have to keep working hard. We have a good group of guys. We are just going to continue to get better and working for another state title. We’re going to repeat.”

The next meet for Bismarck High is the Mandan Lions meet which starts on Friday Nov. 30 at Mandan Middle School.
