The Legacy boys wrestling team has reached a program high for number of participant this season.
Currently, there are 34 members on the team. The older players on the team say the increase on the team is due to the middle school program and an influx of freshman.
Sophomore Maverick Martin, who will wrestle in the 132 pound division, even went out to help recruit more kids come to the program.
“We just kind of talked to more people before the season and got them to come in and join the program,” Martin said. “I said, ‘That it kind of makes you a better person when you wrestle. You learn a lot of stuff about life.”
Legacy’s first match of the season is tomorrow when they face Mandan and Century in a triangular at Mandan Middle School.
